BoG maintains policy rate at 15%

The Monetary Policy Committee of the Bank of Ghana has maintained the Monetary Policy Rate for the first time this year.

It left the bench mark lending rate unchanged at 15 percent.

The policy rate is the rate at which commercial banks can borrow from the central bank.

Acting governor told the press threats on the economy are on a decline - thereby necessitating the maintenance.
