The award-winning Ghana Music idol, Dan Amakye Dede, believes the FC Porto whiz kid Christian Atsu will be the next big thing to happen to world football if authorities guide and boost his confidence.

The Ghana music icon claimed he has been amazed with the immense talent of the Black Stars prodigy.

The FC Porto star has risen from virtual obscurity to become one of the most talked about Ghanaian players within a matter of months.

The 20-year-old midfielder rose to prominence after starring for Ghana in their 7-0 World Cup qualifying rout of Lesotho and earned his first competitive start for the national team against Malawi with a sublime performance.

Amakye Dede, also a staunch football fan, told Sunyani-based Storm FM, “I have watched the national teams for a long time, but that Atsu guy has such an immense talent that amazes me.”

“I would kindly want the football authorities to keep a close eye on that boy and guide his career very well because he is the biggest ever thing that can happen to us if he continues with it,” he added.

“He's so skillful and very much talented that I was totally taken aback the first day I watched him because most players have come and gone but his dribbling skills and composure surpasses all.”

He said: “At this age that he can do all these things in a senior national team jersey, I think we should boost his confidence and the authorities must try and guide him and if he lives his life well, he can be the best of this generation.”

Amakye Dede is one of the most popular musicians and has very strong connections with football in Ghana.
