The Director of Operations of the Friends of Nana Konadu
Agyeman Rawlings (FONKAR), Ernest Owusu Bempah, has been charged with
publishing false news with intent to cause fear and panic in the nation.
The charge comes a day after Owusu Bempah visited the Police
Headquarters to answer questions based on serious allegations he placed on the first lady of the Republic Of Ghana.
Ernest Owusu Bempah who was invited by the BNI was later transferred to the
Police Headquarters to prove his claims he made the last time. It was at this point
that he is said that he did not have evidence to his
allegations and that what he said was due to anger over the avalanche of insults heaped
on them by Koku Anyidoho.
His allegation was that the First lady of the Republic of Ghana got some GHC 51
million from the controversial judgement debt paid to businessman Alfred Agbesi Woyome
who is still in court for fraud
Some other members of FONKAR surrounded the police headquarters to sympathize with one of their own who was later declared ‘missing’ by the
other FONKAR members saying that they did not know his whereabouts.
