Gaga's 'Born This Way Foundation' recently teamed with Office Depot in a bid to create a 'braver, kinder school year' with the added help of the 'Bad Romance' singer herself. However, the star has now been accused of being 'irresponsible.'
The Florida Family Association (FFA) had spoken out, saying that Gaga is sending an "irresponsible message to many teens who would have eventually chosen to be straight."
Erm, not quite sure we agree with that!
"The one million dollar pledge from Office Depot to the Lady Gaga Born this Way Foundation will influence many teens to embrace homosexuality for their lifetime who may have otherwise worked through their crisis with straight results," says a statement on the FFA website.
"Thousands of kids who might have otherwise worked through their pubescent sexual identity issues will be inspired to accept the wrong choice based upon this unscientific, emotionally charged propaganda."
The statement continues: "What’s brave or kind about telling thousands of sexually frustrated teens that they were Born This Way when a high percentage of them would have ended up taking the straight heterosexual path for life?"
Office Depot have since remained quiet about the whole thing, however a spokesman for Office Depot has praised Gaga's work, calling it: "an inspirational organization that has the power to make a difference in the lives of today’s youth."
That's more like it!
Meanwhile, Gaga has released a short black and white vid showing the making of her new perfume 'Fame'.
The black and white film shows scientists working in a lab to create the fragrance. The voiceover is in French with subtitles, telling viewers that 'Fame' is the first ever black perfume and ingredients include belladonna, crushed heart of tiger orchid and pulverised apricot.
Hmm, does that mean anything to anyone? No? Us neither...
