Alhaji Bature: Rawlings killed Atta Mills

The Managing Editor of the Al-Hajj newspaper, Alhaji Bature Idrisu has accused former president Jerry John Rawlings of being one of the persons who pushed Prof. John Evans Atta Mills to an early grave.
According to Alhaji Bature, the incessant attacks by President Rawlings proved too much for the late president and that sent him to his grave.

He made the claim on Adom FM’s Dwaso Nsem morning show on Tuesday October 16, 2012.
Reacting to a challenge by Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings for him (Bature) to expose whatever dirty secrets he claims to have against the Rawlingses and also substantiate his constant claim of intimately knowing the former first couple, Alhaji Bature told show host Adakabre Frimpong Manso, that comments from President Rawlings after one of his trips to Equatorial Guinea, were too harsh for the late president to bear and that was one of the reasons Prof. Mills died soon after.

An agitated Alhaji Bature said he was therefore sending a strong warning to Mr Rawlings to “stop the attacks on Prof. Mills even after the man has died” or be exposed over an issue which could have landed him in jail.

This exposure could be in several forms, including making public “all the communications on text messages”, if the Rawlingses continue to attack the late President and the NDC.

On the number of times he has met with Nana Konadu and the husband Rawlings , Alhaji Bature says he is happy Nana Konadu had admitted meeting him two or three times, adding that one does not need to meet up with a person before he can work or do something for that person.
