The presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party, Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo has said that President John Mahama should be an apostle of the free SHS policy he (Akufo-Addo)is promising Ghanaians if voted into office to the electorate, instead of kicking against it.
Nana Addo noted that the President enjoyed Free Secondary School education under the first President of Ghana, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah. He also noted how his(Mahama's) father took him to the North to have his education although his father, the then Minister of State could have afforded his fees at Achimota.
He made this known during a rally organized for him as part of the Ashanti Regional tour where he introduced the parliamentarian candidate for Asokwa, Patricia Appaih Agyei to the electorate.
He questioned President Mahama’s claims of being caring and working for Ghanaians, when he (Mahama) and at the same time oppose such a policy.
