In what could be a ‘shocking’ revelation, footy-Ghana.com brings
you a lowdown on the Ghana Premier League’s Player of the Year, Daniel
Nii Adjei’s ‘big money’ move from Asante Kotoko to Congolese giants TP
Mazembe which is set to be ratified by October 22 when the midfielder’s
return ticket from Lubumbashi to Accra is due.
Nii Adjei will
return to Ghana to prepare for life with new club TP Mazembe after a
week’s stay from October 16 during which he will pass through the
African Champions League’s semi-finalist’s medical examinations.
The midfielder
who is currently on national duty with the Black Stars ahead of this
weekend’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Malawi on Sunday is
scheduled to fly to Nairobi after the Black Stars game on October 13 for
two days where he will be joined by Asante Kotoko’s International
Relations Officer Kwame Baah Nuako for the trip to complete talks and
have his medicals with Mazembe.
“TP has sent Daniel’s ticket for October 16 and a return flight of October 22,” a close source whispered to footy-Ghana.com
The Figures involved
Initial reports of a transfer fee of $150,000 for the reigning Player of the Year of which Kotoko would
have also earned an extra amount of $50,000 to be dedicated to the
development of Asante Kotoko’s youth system has been challenged by top
sources of the Congolese club.
The fresh indications received by footy-Ghana reveals TP Mazembe will be spending $500,000 in securing the services of Daniel Nii Adjei should he pass his medicals next week.
The player will earn $100,000 as sign on fee while Asante Kotoko will gain $400,000 as transfer fee for their most prized asset. Nii Adjei will sign to a two-year deal with TP Mazembe and will earn $8,000 as monthly salary.
Berekum Chelsea’s
Gladson Awako who is currently with the Congolese giants is also
joining Mazembe on the same transfer fee of $400,000.
