The 2012 flagbearer of the People’s National Convention, Hassan Ayariga has called the bluff of his party chairman who is asking him not to speak on behalf of the party.
Alhaji Ahmed Ramadan said the flagbearer did not consult him before conceding defeat in the 2012 general elections, adding, the party was yet to take a decision on the 2012 election.
He cautioned Hassan Ayariga not to speak on behalf of the party but could do so on any issue that concerned him.
In what appears to be blunt reaction to the comments of the party chair, Hassan Ayariga told Joy FM he did not need the authority of the party chair before making a concession.
“I run the show; the show doesn’t run me,” he told Joy News’ Anny Osabutey on Joy FM’s Weekend City Show, Saturday from his base in the US.
He said he was the first to concede defeat having realised there was no way he could win the elections.
He called on all Ghanaians to let peace prevail and wished Ghanaians a Merry Christmas.
