Destiny's Child have announced the news
fans have been waiting for since they split eight years - that they are
releasing a new album featuring original music.
The iconic R&B girl band, consisting of Beyonce, Kelly Rowland
and Michelle Williams split in 2004 to focus on their solo careers, but
today, they announced that they will be releasing a new album this
month, titled Love Songs.
Featuring some of the
group's most-loved romantic tracks released throughout their career
from 1997, such as 'Cater 2 U', 'Brown Eyes' and 'Emotion', 'Love Songs'
will also feature a new recording, titled 'Nuclear.'
'Nuclear' is the first original recording from the trio since their last album Destiny Fulfilled
was released in 2004. Since departing the group eight years ago,
Beyonce has gone on to enjoy the most success, winning 16 Grammy Awards,
several chart-topping singles and albums and achieving other accolades.Kelly Rowland has also gone on to launch a successful solo career, including a spot as a judge on The X Factor, while Michelle Williams forged a gospel career and also stars in Broadway shows.
The news comes as Beyonce is gearing up for the release of her new solo album, in addition to her performance during the Super Bowl halftime show.
Destiny's Child Love Songs will be released on January 29.
