NOTHING WILL STOP RAWLINGS FROM ORGANIZING JUNE 4TH

Ex President Rawlings is not at all worried by the ban placed on him by the Aflao Chiefs. The Aflao Chiefs have banned him from organizing the 33th Anniversary of the June 4th arising in their locality.

The council of chiefs and also residence in the Aflao traditional area have called on the security personnel  to prevent ex-president Rawlings from holding the occasion at Aflao .In a letter signed by three eminent statesman from the area; Torgbui Nyueimedzi Anubo IV, Senior Divisional Chief of Aflao Traditional Area, Prof Ernest Dumor, Chairman, Aflao Council of Elders and Christian Yevunya, Chairman Aflao Youth Association, the chiefs said they are “apprehensive of” and feel “uncomfortable” that the Aflao Traditional Area is to be used as a platform for staging a political contest.

The organizers of this event assert that the reason why the chiefs are doing that is to stop Rawlings from exposing the corruption in the government and also a "dubious machinery of anti-revolutionary element." and called on the public to rubbish it.

He also said "The general public and all true believers of the decade that stopped the rot are invited to participate in the celebrations…The organizing committee wishes to assure all those travelling to Aflao for the rally that it will definitely take place at the Victory Park as scheduled. The public is advised to ignore the devious machinations of anti-revolutionary elements who are bent on creating negativity towards the event,” the statement said."
