"WE NEVER SPIED ON NANA ADDO" GOVERNMENT

There has been allegations that the flag bearer of the New Patriotic Party is been spied on by the government. Mustapha Hamid, aide of Nana Addo said that during a meeting which Nana Addo had with the Danish Ambassador to Ghana in Moverick Hotel there were six national security offices spying on Nana Addo during that meeting. Mustapha Hamid described the act as an "embarrassment" and goes contrary to the underlying principles of democracy.

He said that during the meeting the Ambassador wanted to find out how Nana Addo was going to work to promote peace in the upcoming elections. He also said that the Kuffour faced the same problem in the year 2000.

The deputy information minister Sam Okudzeto Ablakwa have described the allegations of Mustapha Hamid as lies. He claims that the NPP has intentionally cooked up the story in order to win public sympathy.

“We are totally surprised about this new allegation which has been cooked and concocted by the NPP,” he said.
He also told the NPP to stop peddling "kindergarten" lies since it will never take them anywhere.

“It never happened; it is a figment of the imagination of Mustapha Hamid and those who are concocting this claim,” he charged.
Mustapha Hamid in a quick rebutted this by saying "it is only a liar who says his witness is dead". He asked the media to contact their own investigation into the matter to ascertain whether it is he or Sam Okudzeto who is lying. He furthered proved his point by saying that the security members wanted to be a part of their meeting but the Danish diplomat turned down their proposal.
