Election 2012: A choice between a failed gov't and one with track record - Akufo-Addo

The upcoming December polls will be a choice between an administration with failed policies and one with a track record promising new policies, the NPP flagbearer Nana Akufo-Addo has declared.

The NPP flag-bearer said the ruling National Democratic Congress instead of building on what the Kufuor administration left behind, has left the country in retrogression.

Nana Akufo-Addo who was addressing a press soiree organized at his office Thursday, said the NPP under a new leadership is still committed to the fundamental values that propelled the country to greater heights during Kufuor’s regime.

The NPP flag-bearer counselled the electorate to give the NPP their mandate because not only do they have the track record but also have in stock new policies to advance the welfare of Ghanaians.

Nana Akufo-Addo further expressed his commitment to a peaceful election.

According to him, everyone has a role to play in making the 2012 election violence-free.

Nana Addo also advised the media to be fair in their reportage in the run up to the election as well as give the minority the opportunity of expressing their views on issues of interest.

Meanwhile, the NPP is set to launch its national campaign on Saturday with a rally at Mantse Agbona, James Town, Accra.

The launch will be preceded by a special delegates congress to adopt the party’s manifesto for the December polls.
