The local currency over the past three and a half weeks has witnessed some marginal appreciation against the US currency.

Derrick Mensah tells JOY-BUSINESS, the real test of the cedi's stability would be in December.
“The cedi traditionally depreciates drastically in the last few months to the Christmas festivities due to the heavy imports traders tend to make during this season. The fundamentals are therefore usually thrown out of gear during this period. Its not going to be any different this year except that the Central Bank’s measures would mitigate the impact” he noted.
