Amissah-Arthur“we manage the economy not by theory” and “not by text books.”

The Vice President and the running mate to President John Dramani Mahama told his supporters yesterday during his outdoor that his credentials at managing the economy is practical, stating he does not use text book approach in managing the economy.

This was in response to his Dr. Bawumia assertion that the NDC has been managing the economy with lies and propaganda. He citied the continued fall in the country’s currency as evidence of the incompetent manner in which the economy is being administration.

He said a propaganda managed economy is always exposed with a depreciating currency.


In what appears to be a subtle response to the claims by the NPP second-in-command, Papa Kwesi Amissah-Arthur said “we manage the economy not by theory” and “not by text books.”

He thanked the president for nominating him, saying “I accept this in all humility.”

"For us in NDC we are appointed to serve," he added.

Papa Kwesi Amissah-Arthur also described the free education that the NPP have put in their manifesto as simply unrealistic.

He said the NDC would rather concentrate on access to education and progressively make education cheaper for parents.
