NDP: Rawlings does not fully support NDC

He said: “From what I understand as a political analyst, what I believe is going to happen is that Ghanaians have been able to determine between the two parties. They have seen the NPP in government, they have seen the NDC too and they have come to the realization that these two parties cannot offer anything different.”

The above are the extract of the General Secretary of the National Democratic Party,   Dr Mamboa-Rockson. According to him, the Ex-President Jerry John Rawlings does not fully support the NDC.

The above extract was made known to the Public when he was speaking on CITI FM's eye witness news. According to him, the NDP equally stands a better chance of winning the election just as the NDC and the NPP does and therefore the Ex-President's statement should not be misconstrued to mean that he fully supports the party.

According to him, the founder's comment should not be interpreted in isolation saying, “you don’t have to take portions of it. He might have said that in another contest what the competition might be.”
About the former first lady accepting the flagbearer of the party he said

“Our expectation is, after we are able to convince Mrs. Rawlings to come on board as our presidential candidate, we will be able to convince the former President Jerry John Rawlings to campaign for the NDP,” he explained.
