Palermo president Maurizio Zamparini has admitted is without two pennies to rub together and would sell the Sicilian club if an offer was made.
The 71-year-old has ventured into real estate, retail as well as football.
“I was very rich indeed, as many years ago I sold everything to the French for millions,” Zamparini told Radio 24.
“I invested them and now I have nothing in liquid funds. Zero. I haven’t got a euro in the bank. I have many businesses, but they have all been signed over to my children.
“I am still negotiating with Arabian businessmen and if they give me €100m then I’ll sell the club tomorrow morning.
“So far I have spent €90m on Palermo, so would at least like to have something back on my investment.
