'Diamonds' singer RiRi proudly walked into the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Christmas Day (December 25) hand in hand with Chris to watch the LA Lakers vs NY Knicks game, most of which they spent giving each other longing looks and cuddling up to one another over popcorn.
While the PDA appeared to confirm months of speculation that the pair have reconciled, one person who apparently didn't get the message was Chris' ex Karrueche Tran who is said to be competing with RiRi to spend New Years' Eve with him.
"Rihanna and Karrueche are really fighting over Chris and have been sending each other coded messages online for weeks," a source told The Sun.
"They hate each other but Chris seems content to carry on with them at the same time. They were competing over Christmas to send Chris the most loved-up messages possible."
"Rihanna may have got Chris on Christmas Day but he sees no reason not to see Karrueche too," the insider added.
Rihanna is said to have abandoned her family in Barbados to spend Christmas Day with Chris after he failed to join her family in her native country where he was invited to stay.
Sources say Rihanna "was a mess" and had to be supported by her best friend Melissa after his no-show.
“Rihanna was a mess. Her best friend Melissa was being very protective because RiRi was so upset", a source tells The Sun.
“It was supposed to be her big Christmas party for her family and friends but she just wasn’t into it."
“She had told her family Chris would join her. They were prepared to forgive him for what happened in the past and welcome him back. It seems she just can’t get over him. She thinks he’s playing games with her mind.”
