ROBIN VAN PERSIE has been named Player of the Month for December.
The Manchester United hotshot has been in lethal form all season, but the final four weeks of 2012 saw him hit a stunning purple patch of five Premier League goals in six games.They included crucial strikes in tight games, including the stunning 3-2 win at Manchester City.
Van Persie, 29, said: “It was a big month for us. You have certain periods during a season when it goes your way and December was one of those periods.”

Spurs beat Fulham, Swansea, Aston Villa and Sunderland in December, and were desperately unlucky to lose to Everton at Goodison Park.
AVB said: “It’s been an excellent December for us and we’ve managed to put ourselves in the kind of position that we want to be.
“We sit third in the league, but it is where we finish at the end of the season that matters.”
