Dr. Sekou Nkrumah, son of Ghana’s first Presiden Dr. Kwame Nkrumah has jabbed the state media for recognising one Dr. Onsy Nathan Kwame Nrumah as a son of the late President.
Dr. Onsy Nrumah, born on 17th March, 1957, went public early this year, claiming to be the product from an intimate relationship Dr. Kwame Nkrumah had with an Egyptian woman called Madam Isis Nashid.
The family of Ghana’s founding president in Nkroful, have reportedly accepted the man who is also known as “the lost son of Kwame Nkrumah”, whom they admired for refurbishing their family house.
However, the youngest of Dr. Nkrumah’s children, has consistently challenged the legitimacy of Onsy’s claim. Onsy was seemingly featured on GTV as well as Ghana News Agency reports, as one of Dr. Kwame Nkrumah’s children who joined the thousands of Ghanaians who congregated at the State House, to view the mortal remains of late President Mills while it was laid in state.
Speaking Saturday on news analysis programme News File on Joy News TV on Multi TV and broadcast on Joy Fm, Dr. Sekou Nkrumah took a swipe at the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation, particularly GTV and the Ghana News Agency, for giving prominence to “that guy who calls himself son son of Nkrumah”.
“Anyone who wants to know the children of Kwame Nkrumah should go the Nkrumah Mausoleum in Accra, to see the names of the children Kwame Nkrumah had”, Sekou said.
He described the publicity Onsy has been enjoying ever since he broke his silence, as one of the several attempts by government through the media to propagative falsehood.
