Las Cruces prison inmate Dana Martin is said to have arranged for two men to capture Justin Bieber in New York.
According to The Belfast Telegraph, the prisoner recruited them to castrate and murder the teenager.
KRQE News broke the shocking story, alerting local authorities before the horrific plan could be carried out. Mark Staake and his nephew Tanner Ruane were hired to attack the 18-year-old singer in New York City last month, while he was in town to perform at Madison Square Garden.
The motive for the alleged plot is currently unknown. Martin, who has a tattoo of Justin on his leg, is currently serving two life sentences for raping and killing a 15-year-old girl in 2000.
He reportedly told police the trio planned to kidnap Justin and his bodyguard and strangle them with paisley ties - a gesture that is said to be his signature move, otherwise known as a 'calling card'.
Mark Staake was arrested in Vermont on outstanding warrants. Tanner Ruane was reportedly found with a pair of pruning sheers when he was arrested in New York City.
