According to him, Shatta Wale has done well for himself and deserves all the attention he is getting now.
Speaking on TV3’s flagship morning show, “New Day,” last Wednesday, Samini admitted that Shatta Wale, being the first dancehall artiste to win the overall artiste of the year at the just-ended Ghana Music Awards, tells how successful he has been as an artiste.
“I will give credit to Shatta Wale for working hard and making sure he grabs what was due him in this industry,” Samini said.
“…if you are an artiste and you are doing music for the masses, the industry has to pay you back and [it is] quite obvious that is what he [Shatta Wale] is doing now,” Samini noted.
He further disclosed that he recently saw Shatta Wale’s video on Channel O, adding it was never the case at first as it explains the level of hard work he is putting in his music.
“The video I saw there deserved to be there because it had good pictures and it tells you the level at which he is setting for himself and the genre as a whole,” he said
