He may be on course for transatlantic chart-topping glory, but Justin Bieber's TV special was an unexpected ratings flop.
But rather than blame a lack of interest in Justin (which frankly would be an absurd suggestion anyway), a leading analyst has simply blamed his fanbase's lack of interest in TV altogether.
Marc Berman, editor-in-chief of TV Media Insights, said: "It's pretty obvious he attracts young viewers, young females in particular, and this is the time of year when a lot of those viewers are not at home watching TV.
"[TV specials] just don't resonate anymore. Someone like Bieber is all over the place -- on YouTube, everywhere -- it's not like you're seeing anything unusual.
"You're seeing [pop stars] all the time and I just don't think [TV specials] matter to these fans."
As we reported earlier, the second part of the documentary showed the teen idol taking his shirt off and flexing his muscles.
Now if that's not a ratings winner, we don't know what is.
