STEVE JOBS DREAM

Mickey Drexler, a member of Apple’s board of directors and CEO of J.Crew, revealed in a recent interview at Fast Company’s Innovation Uncensored conference that Steve Jobs’ dream before he passed away was to design an iCar.
“Look at the car business – it’s a tragedy in America,” Drexler said. “Who’s designing the cars? They talk about expense, they talk about this, and then you say, ‘Who’s designing the cars?’”
Drexler also believing Jobs would have revolutionised the auto industry if he had designed the car.
“Steve’s dream before he died was to design an iCar. It would have been probably 50 percent of the market. He never did design it. In the fashion business, you know, Apple has 10 products and then they leave alone … the living room they’re dealing with at some point in the near future”, Drexler said fueling further speculation that Apple may make an iTV.
However, some analysts predict that Apple may still have a future in the car industry by working with makers to integrate Apple devices into their vehicles.
