MORE PESSIMIST
THAN NOT
The world is inhabited by two kinds of people; one that
would take you to heaven, one that would take you to the other way, one that
would make you wise, one that would make you otherwise, one that would take you
into the Light, one that would take you to darkness. However, in this article,
I would focus all of my energies on the latter kind of people. Also the latter
kind of people is what I would refer to as mockingbird; a long tailed American
songbird noted for copying the calls of other birds. These mockingbirds (kind
of people) as they are are very characteristic of not allowing people to
explore their full originalities and potentials by continuously referring to
the failure of others and would always pull them back. A mockingbird who is
more pessimist than not.
THE TESTAMENT OF
MOCKINGBIRDS
The only words written in the testament of mockingbirds are
‘’you can’t do it’’, ‘’don’t even bother’’,’’Even that boy failed.’’ Think of a
brilliant idea and these birds would be faster than the internet and read to
you some ‘’verses’’ in their testament. Ignore their advice and fail and they would
recite to you two of my personal favourite in their testament ‘’I told you so’’
or ‘’you should have just listened to me.’’ Ignore their advice and succeed and
they would read their own rendition of congratulatory message to you and again
share in your felicitations. Indeed apart from the Holy Scriptures, the
‘’Mockingbird Testament’’ is probably the most read, sort after and quoted book
you can ever find on Earth!
THE JEALOUSIES OF
A MOCKINGBIRD
William Shakespeare once said ‘’I am a woman, when I think I
must speak.’’ Contrarily, whenever mockingbirds’ minds are full of conniving,
evil and jealous thoughts, they result to keeping it in their heart and result
to diatribes. Yet they force their minds into oblivion and go round convincing
people that they were the foundations behind your success. They go around
insulting you in epitaph which even the dictionary cannot write.
A MOCKINGBIRD IS
STANDING BY MY WINDOW
Then the part where mockingbirds secretly becoming your
‘’watch man’’ begins. They are always on the guard to find fault with whatever
you do, say or produce. They would follow you in secret till they get what they
are looking for. Like how the old Christmas carol ‘’Santa Claus is coming to
town’’ goes;
‘’He see you when you are sleeping
He knows when you are awake
He knows if you’ve been bad or good’’
The mockingbird sees and knows where you are and what you
are planning to do. They take statistics and use it to plan for your downfall.
THE END OF A
MOCKINGBIRD
The story of the end of a mockingbird is not precisely as
glamorous as how they hurt people. Their end is so abrupt. Suddenly after
months and mostly years of them destroying your name, their end comes. After
the whole world has seen that you are a bad person the end of a mockingbird
comes. One painful thing about is that, not everyone who was brainwashed by
these mockingbirds would get to know the truth and even if they do; it would be
at that time when it would be trivial. One painful thing is that after the end
of a mockingbird no matter how painful his deeds caused you, you have to do one
thing; forgive!
