Berekum Chelsea midfielder Yaw Alexander has emerged as a transfer target for League Champions Asante Kotoko.
The porcupine warriors are looking to bolster their defensive midfield upon a recommendation by outgoing coach Maxwell Konadu.
Kotoko last season used the trio of Michael Akuffo,
Afranie Yeboah and Yahaya Mohammed for the holding role but the
technical team where strained by the absence of the latter through
injuries.
New target Yaw Alexander tells Kumasi-based Fox FM,
"I’m currently in talks with Kotoko and have accepted to join the club
if talks with Berekum Chelsea management go through successfully."
Asante Kotoko have been tracking the holding midfielder widely known for his 'power play' for three years now.
