Mayor of Kumasi, Samuel Sarpong and the Regional Minister Dr. Kwaku Agyemang Mensah are expected to pay a visit to the scene of the incident on Monday morning.
No causalities had occurred but an a woman whose shop was gutted by the fire has however been reported to have collapsed.
Some people took advance of the situation and stole some valuables they could lay their hands on.
